Foodies UNITE!

Wow!! Seems like everyone's becoming a foodie of late... I wonder why? Well, in all, it is kinda good for the industry.. namely me later on in life.. teehee... IanPenguin always said I should take pictures of my food 'escapades' and post it up... Weelllll.. it would be fun... but I'm always so tired after... For me, after the hard work, hot kitchen and endless worry, sweat and aching feet, it's a nice cold beer or a comforting glass of red.

*sigh* as most people would know, I recently came back from Bali, and have since been an advocate of the place. It IS damn wonderful, fuckin' beautiful and need I mention?? The food is awesome. I never had a thing for Indonesian food... probably because we don't have such wonderful produce here needed to replicate the dishes back there. Man!! The pork there is absofuckinglutely great.. Everything goes well with Kecap Manis ABC, TehBotol (Milik Sosro) and Marlboro Kreteks as well as Bintang Bir. Dammit. They love their food sweet and flowery. And by damn, it IS nice...

So story is, we made so many friends there, saw so much and yet, it is just the tip of the iceberg. We didn't quite have enough time (who ever does) and now, all the signs are pointing back to Bali like a forest on fire. Or maybe we're stalking people who go there. *shrugs* Either way, another trip is in tow... let's hope it's sooner. And YES, I will take more photos... they're all on Facebook already, but the next trip, I think, I know what else I wanna capture... just an inkling of Bali's mystique and allure.

So lately, randomly, I've been hooked onto Secret Diary of A Call Girl. Man! It's so hot, without being skanky and lame, and it's damn compelling. 8 episodes a season, so, I ran through Season 1 and 2, and I'm waiting for episode 6, Season 2. That's what I don't like about series... the waiting. Especially if I see the others all in one sitting. And Heroes 3 is out now... hmmm... another reason why I should be getting on with my work, rather than playing around with the fanciful things other human beings have the luxury of enjoying.

Which brings me to all the stuff I've gotta do *groan* and oh yes, I do need to look for a job... to earn more moolah. It's all about the money here... not like in Bali. Ok, I'll stop for now, about Bali... I should just dedicate a whole blog to Bali. Sigh....

I should be asleep right now, but I'm not... I shall go... so I can dream of my workload... my 'gameplan' for the day... lol... ooh. and a certain bet with YangYang to lose 10kgs by end of this year. I shall up that and make it 15! let's hope my love of food doesn't interfere.

And the thought of that large Tuna, Ham & Spinach Quiche that I made, downstairs is NOT helping...... *grog-grog*

Go to sleep and dream.... not stay awake and eat... ish...
